"You are a mountain of courage & strength"

A channelled message of hope from the Himalayas...

 Machapuchhare 'Fishtail' mountain Nepal

This week's message from spirit came through during our recent trip to Nepal. As I sat meditating in the lap of the majestic Machapuchare ('Fishtail' mountain) at sunrise one crisp Winter's morning, I sensed a strong presence watching over and guiding me.

It was a feeling of grandfatherly protection that can only be described as deeply wise and loving.

As always I felt instantly drawn to transcribe the feelings and words that came through, pouring them onto the page with such calm clarity. There was no doubt or hesitation that this was a Divine message from the big mountain that needed to be shared, and so here it is...

"You are a mountain.

The courage and strength you have is immense and powerful.

The beauty and grace you breathe is wise and healing.

Believe in yourself as you believe in the mountain.

You are immovable yet slowly transforming grain by grain from mountain into eternal spirit dust.

Eventually you will fly into the ether to scatter your wisdom beyond the cosmic eye."

Over the weeks that we spent exploring Nepal, and immersing ourselves in the beautiful land and culture, we had many profound encounters with the mountains. Each morning as the daylight painted the colours of the day across the horizon, we were treated to the kind yet powerful presence of the Himalayas, guiding and watching over us, inspiring us to be better people and to make a difference in the world however we could. The message was always of strength, courage, resilience and perserverance, urging us to not waste an opportunity to grow and learn, and to share this wisdom with our community back in Australia.

Through conquering our fears we come to realise that by far the unsafest place of all is in our own minds.

To me, just knowing that this giant has never been climbed or conquered by humans somehow adds even more power to the message. At 6993m Machapuchare has always been considered sacred to the Gurungs, the people of the region, and remains to this day a symbol of purity and beauty in Nepal. It is known as the virgin peak, and there are many stories and folklore in Nepal dedicated to the mountain, however very few of them clarify exactly why the peak has never been climbed.

Perhaps it is the belief that the Hindu God Shiva lives on top of the mountain is enough of a deterrant, given that Shiva is known as the 'Destroyer', the supreme lord who protects and transforms the universe.

The profound presence of the mountain will be forever etched in my mind, and in fact, every time I sit down to meditate it is this image that I see so clearly.

May the blessings of the mountain extend to you also, as a reader of these words, knowing that this message is for you. The beautiful people of Nepal would be very happy to know that the wisdom of the big mountains is being shared by many.

Namaste!
